About Me
My name is Tyler Rumore and I do all things audio from KCMO.
Tyler Rumore is an internationally recognized audio engineer and trumpet player. Currently finishing his Bachelor's of Music in Music Technology at the University of Central Missouri. Here, he has practiced and studied skills in music production, live sound engineering, sound design, coding, and other explorations in the sonic arts.
Most recently, Tyler used his skills and experience in live audio to go on the road with the Colts Drum and Bugle Corps as one of their audio engineers. With the Colts, he ran FOH for ten shows, including DCI World Championships at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Indiana. On top of this, he was responsible for the wireless coordination of twenty wireless brass microphones.
Tyler also has experience working with theater productions. He was the lead production technician for over 100 shows during the summer of 2023 at Worlds of Fun. In 2024, he interned with HMXLive, where he was an A2 at Theater In The Park in Shawnee, Kansas. Theater In The Park is the nation's largest outdoor community theater, and puts on five productions over the course of the summer. In Kansas City, he is a trusted technician for corporate and commercial AV integration, festivals, tear-downs, and set-ups.
Since 2022, Tyler has been successfully freelancing as a session trumpet player, collaborating with international artists such as PsychCloned, Aiden Appleton, and Ghaith Al-Hor. Starting as a side project during his senior year of high school, Tyler has taken his skills and talents as a trumpet player to over 300 different projects and productions. Projects range from ska/punk to jazz, and even death metal.
In his free time, Tyler enjoys spending time with his friends, his cat, Joe, and making music, which he releases on Spotify. With his friends, he is the guitarist and audio engineer for Lava Joe and The Stinkcatchers. He also enjoys making arrangements and writing compositions for trumpet.
